Mission Statement

The core ability of interaction designers is to think in new directions and to break through conventional approaches in order to develop and implement innovative design concepts. The competence to be able to carry out complex design tasks is a basic requirement for working as an interaction designer. The cours focuses on the development of analytical skills and the ability to think and design experimentally.

Content
  • Ideation, conception, planning and implementation of technical systems
  • Creativity methods and experimental ideation
  • Project planning and management
  • Iterative design process
  • Communication skills in collaboration, presentation, documentation
Learning Outcomes

Knowledge Broadening
Students are able to take on creative tasks in the context of HCI (Human Computer Interaction) and HMI (Human-Machine Interfaces) independently and in a motivated manner and to solve them in an experimental, methodologically individual approach. They&amp
Knowledge Deepening
39;;re able to conclusively present their work.
Instrumental Skills and Competences
The students are able to independently and ad hoc acquire specific knowledge necessary to solve the problems they&amp
Communicative Skills and Competences
39;;re addressing. This competence enables them to design unconventional and innovative solutions.
Systemic Skills and Competences
The students are able to convincingly present visionary ideas and concepts. They use various technologies, software and hardware tools optimized for a specific task in order to support and improve their work.
