Peer Review Process
Publication process or peer review process
The Journal of Nonprofit Management is published on a university server and archived electronically.
The quality of the articles is assured by the editorial board and an anonymous peer review process.
This process is the same as for journals, which are edited exclusively by professors and produced by academic publishers.
All articles in the Journal of Nonprofit Management go through a process of academic quality control before they are published.
How does peer review work?
The peer review process is initially designed to provide quality assurance for the journal. It is also intended to guarantee error correction and improvement of texts, as well as to contribute comments and ideas from reviewers to enhance the content of the articles.
About the procedure:
The Editorial Board reviews the submitted articles and examines them with regard to the suitability of topic, content and the respective article format. If the article appears suitable, the Editorial Board selects 1-2 reviewers.
The reviewers decide along the systematic:
- Acceptance without revision
- Acceptance after revision
- Acceptance after revision and review by reviewers
- Rejection
Criteria for review include:
Consideration of the state of research and classification of the contribution in the disciplinary context.
theoretical foundation of the paper
scientific and/or social relevance,
methodological quality: appropriateness, level and seriousness of the empirical procedure
quality of the linguistic presentation
scientific and/or empirical innovation and topicality of the trends / good practices presented
This journal provides free access (open access) to its content, in line with the basic assumption that the free public availability of research benefits a worldwide exchange of knowledge.
