Are you a PhD student, Post-Doc or academice staff member in Osnabrück and looking for other reseachers to exchange ideas and experiences with?
Osnabrück University and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences invite you to join our social events! We meet in changing locations in Osnabrück and offer a variety of leisure activites. Here you can chat with other doctoral candidates in a relaxed atmosphere and exchange ideas about your research and common interests. In addition to international researchers, there are usually also some German PhD student joining our activities.

Upcoming events
We invite you to spend your lunch break together with other scientists today! You will find us in the Mensa Westerberg between 12.00 and 1.30 pm at one of the high tables along the window front in the right part of the Mensa (facing towards the green building, the "Frosch").
Look out for the "Researcher's Roundtable" display on the table. We look forward to a nice lunch together!
One of our international researchers, Phyu Phyu, invites us to her home on January 16th to cook together. What a great way to start the new year with our Researcher's Roundtable! Thank you, Phyu Phyu :)
We meet at 7 pm at the Sparkasse in the Lerchenstraße (Lerchenstraße 84, 49088 Osnabrück) and then walk to Phyu Phyu's apartment together (if you know Phyu Phyu and have visited her before, you can of course also come directly to her place).
Please bring:
- your own drinks
- some cash, as we will buy the food beforehand and then share the costs among the participants
In order to better estimate how much food will be needed, we ask you to register in advance for this event by 13.01.2025. To do so, please send an e-mail with the following information to researchers-roundtable@hs-osnabrueck.de:
- Information on food intolerances
- Details of dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian/vegan)
We are look forward to the evening at Phyu Phyu's and delicious food!
(This cooking evening replaces the meeting that we had originally planned for January in the Portobar)
Music unites!
We invite you to a fun music quiz night at 7 pm. This evening is all about music: Can we manage to put the songs in the right chronological order in the Hitster board game? Have you ever played disco bingo? Perhaps you would like to play your favorite bands on Spotify for us?
It would be great if everyone could bring a drink and some finger food/snacks.
The venue is the Caprivi-Lounge (CaLo) on the Caprivi-Campus of the Hochschule. Address: Gebäude CK, Caprivi-Campus, Caprivistraße 30A. Participation is free of charge and prior registration is not required. We can't wait! :)
General Information
- Participation is free if charge, but everyone pays for its own drinks/tickets etc.
- You are welcome to bring your spouse and children to our events, too.
- Our events may be subject to change. To stay up-to-date with our activities, please visit our website on a regular basis or sign up for our newsletter.
- Participants of the Researcher's Roundtable activites are not insured by Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences or the University of Osnabrück. We do not assume any liability in case of an accident in connection with the participation in our events.
