Business Administration in Civil Engineering Dual (B.Eng.)
Program structure
Structure of the program
Your first year (1st and 2nd semester), will mainly take place in the company, the vocational school and inter-company vocational training.
You start on August 1 with the training in your apprenticed trade. At the same time, you are enrolled in early September at the university as a student and take a module examination at the end of each semester.
After 14 months, you only attend lectures at the university beginning at the 3rd semester and receive a subject-specific basis for your further degree program. In the semester break between semesters, you continue your training in the company, the vocational school and the inter-company vocational training.
At the beginning of the fifth semester, you continue your training in the company and return in November to the university for studies.
After the 5th semester, you take the skilled worker exam at the Chamber of Commerce or Chamber of Crafts.
Beginning in the 6th semester, you concentrate completely on your studies at the university and will be systematically prepared by intensive project work for your everyday professional life.
In the 8th semester, you will complete a 12-week engineering internship and then finish your undergraduate work with your Bachelor’s thesis and receive your Bachelor of Engineering.
In the small student groups students (per semester max. 25 students can be accommodated), nobody gets lost in the crowd. Instead, personal contacts are made from the outset and you are supervised individually by employees and lecturers.
