The course was just right for me.
In the lectures, current economic topics are examined critically and objectively at the same time.
You can feel the professors' enthusiasm for their modules!
I particularly enjoyed the topics of growth and development and behavioral economics.
I find the connections between social cohesion and economic development simply fascinating.
That's why I did a Master's in Behavioral Economics after my Bachelor's degree.
I was able to develop a lot academically and interculturally. It's now benefiting me in my job as an Economist in Africa.

The course is a great mix of theoretical input, practical case studies and scope for personal reflection and discussion. I've learned that economic activities are always closely linked to the interests of other social actors and political institutions - including conflicts of interest.
During my studies, I was particularly interested in the topic of sustainability in relation to economic growth, because this is probably one of the greatest social challenges of our time. I was able to delve deeper into these topics in a Master's degree and my doctorate.
In my professional field - Management Consulting - I feel very well positioned for the future because I can look at problems from different perspectives and thus recognize different approaches to solutions.

The mandatory semester abroad and the internship were particularly valuable for me. As a result, I found out where I was heading after graduation. I was able to start working at my previous internship position straight after my bachelor's degree. Now I'm working there as an Environmental Management Project Manager.
In my job, I need many of the skills that are currently and will be required in the future such as IT skills, English language skills and an understanding of global economic contexts - which can often be explained mathematically!
Yes, there is a lot of math involved in the course and you should be aware of that beforehand. But you shouldn't let that put you off, because the practical relevance to current economic topics means that the connections are quickly understood. And a few modules also manage (almost) without formulas :-).
