The Program
Students from the United States, Canada and Germany will work together on a project, in small groups, in order to find a technical solution to a landscape construction project. For the project, the students will get a draft from a recognized landscape architecture office. This draft will be worked on within the context of construction documentation to the preparation of the bidding procedure. The students will compare the different approaches to a solution from the perspectives of German and American cultural regions and try to find a solution together.
The goal for the students is to develop an understanding of the construction and the building management beyond the national standards.
In the lectures German professors will answer technical questions regarding the project that the students will be working on in order for them to complete the project correctly. The professors will give information about the different approaches used in the United States, in Canada and in Germany.
You will find the course description for the module 'International Summer University Landscaping Industries' here.
