Insights for a Better Future – Research for Health, Society and the Economy
Demographic change, digitalization and the need for sustainable value creation are leading to profound changes. Researchers in the fields of health informatics, data science, psychology, nursing, midwifery, therapy, nutrition and social sciences, political science and law as well as economics are developing interdisciplinary solutions to the challenges associated with this at the faculty. These include a shortage of skilled workers, precarious working conditions, discrimination, separate medical care systems and low recognition of care work. In doing so, they combine basic research for the academically young field of health and social affairs with applied research. Their goal: future-proof care systems and sustainable business models that are developed with practice and can be implemented directly in practice.
With around 20 research projects, 60 doctorates, numerous publications and contract research, over 150 researchers are making a direct contribution to scientific and social development and are shaping a future worth living for everyone.
