Institute for Dual Study Programs

The relation between theory and practice plays a central role at the Institute for Dual Study Programs. Thus, within studies there are already six different forms of cross-linkage between theory and practice, including for instance an operational project or lectures held by experts from industry. Furthermore, the bachelor’s thesis can be written in cooperation with the participating company.

Over 1,000 students are currently enrolled in degree programs at the Institute for Dual Study Programs. Support for students is provided continually, also during studies – every students has a personal contact partner and study mentor. Additionally, small study groups ensure an active as well as concentrated learning environment and tutorials help at recognizing and rectifying deficits at an early stage.

During operational phases, students collect primary practical experiences at their cooperating company. They get to know the company to the core and receive profound knowledge of the corporate structure and entrepreneurial processes. This involvement at the companies simultaneously fosters team as well as communication skills.

The organization and structure of operational phases is at the responsibility of the cooperating company. The combination of operational and study phases provides the possibility to reflect and directly apply knowledge acquired during studies.
