International Staff Week
Welcome to the International Staff Week 2025 "Programs and Services for International Students & Researchers University of Applied Sciences"!
We invite administrative staff from international partner universities to spend a week of networking and sharing expertise with colleagues. We especially address staff members who support incoming international student or researchers (International Offices/Welcome Centers).
Staff members of our institution, who work with international incoming students and researchers, look forward to connecting with their counterparts from international partner universities to share ideas and best-practices. In addition, there will be campus tours, presentations on Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, social and cultural events. We also offer time slots for individual meetings and networking.
Workshop Sessions
The following topics will be available for a workshop session during one morning of the staff week:
- Study opportunities for international visiting students
- Services for international visiting students
- Study programs and services for international degree-seeking students
- Student mobility management
- Services and opportunities for international researchers and teaching staff
In the application form, you will be able to select one of the topics that you are most interested in (first and second choice).
Please note that the sessions may be subject to change. We may also need to cancel certain topics, if we do not receive enough applications.

Dates and Schedule

The language of communication will be English.
When you prepare your travel and plan to fly to Germany, please note that the airport closest to Osnabrück (Flughafen Münster-Osnabrück: FMO) is not well connected to Osnabrück by the public transportation system. A taxi to Osnabrück costs approx. 90 Euro. Alternatively, you can take a train to Osnabrück from the international airport that you arrive, e.g. Frankfurt or Düsseldorf airport. Please check the website of the Germany train company, Deutsche Bahn (www.bahn.de), for connections and tickets.
Please arrange your arrival for Monday, October 6, 2025, as our program starts in the morning of October 7th.
Our programs ends on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 13:00. If you want to departe on that day, please allow an additional hour for picking up your luggage at the hotel and getting to the train station.
Costs and Accommodation
There are various options for hotels or AirBnB in Osnabrück. Please book an accomodatin yourself. Common hotels for guests are for example the Hotel Vieanna House Easy and the Romantik Hotel Valhalla. Both are located close ot the city center, well connected by bus and also withing walking distance (20 minutes) to the campus.
For your orientation: Meeting points will either be downtown or at the Westerberg campus (Albrechstraße 30, 49076 Osnabrück).
Travel costs, hotel accommodation and meals will have to be paid by the participants individually.
The program, including social and cultural events, will be offered by Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences free of charge.
Please check ERASMUS staff mobility funding with your home university. We can confirm ERASMUS staff mobility for training (not for teaching).
Application
The application is open from March 17 - May 22, 2025.
You will be notificied about your acceptance after the deadline. We accept up to two applications per university; additional applicants will be places on a waiting list.
